Cookie Happened is the upcoming 16th studio album by the critically acclaimed rock group Eels. Formatted as a Digipak CD among other physical releases, it is scheduled to launch on October 16, 2026 under the Play It Again Sam (PIAS) / E Works label.
The album title draws inspiration from a quote by Cookie Monster: "Me no cry because cookie is finished. Me smile because cookie happened." Frontman Mark Oliver Everett ("E") notes the concept reflects finding beauty and hard-won optimism in things that will eventually be forgotten.
