After the Astronaut is the ninth studio album by the American rock band Butthole Surfers, officially released on June 26, 2026, through Sunset Boulevard Records.
Originally recorded in 1998 as the intended follow-up to their 1996 commercial breakthrough Electriclarryland (featuring the hit single "Pepper"), the album was shelved for nearly three decades due to label disputes with Capitol Records. While the band eventually reworked many of these tracks for their 2001 album Weird Revolution, this 2026 LP release presents the original late-'90s material as it was intended, newly mixed by guitarist and producer Paul Leary.
